I thought this movie would be a hatchet job on Steve Jobs, who I idolize. I didn't expect to like it. It is flat-out brilliant., Michael Fassbender stunningly projects Jobs' intensity (and less savory characteristics) in a fierce, running circus of confrontation and nearly inhumane turmoil Loved Kate Winslet as his long-suffering right hand.

An excellent companion piece would be Alex Gibney ’s recent documentary, “ Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine,” which covers much of the same ground, but more thoroughly. (You’re welcome to ignore the 2013 biopic “ Jobs ” starring Ashton Kutcher, if you haven’t already.
