Season Two of South Park aired on April 1, 1998. In this season, Cartman discovers his dad is his mom, Kyle finds out his brother Ike is from Canada and Mr. Garrison replaces Mr. Hat with a new puppet called Mr. Twig. This season had its first controversy when it aired "Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus" instead of the conclusion to Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut. This season also has the most episodes up to date, with eighteen episodes.

The second season is like the best South Park season their is it's just the best! You don't get too see any of these on tv anymore or even any of the older episodes. It seems as if anything after the 4th season is all that they play but nothing before.

On July 8, 2015, two months prior to the Season 19 premiere, Comedy Central announced they had renewed South Park for an additional 30 episodes over 3 seasons. This renewal was in addition to the two-year contract already in place with Parker and Stone, guaranteeing South Park would air until at least 2019.
