A sculpture honoring Oregon State University alumnus Dick Fosbury will be unveiled Oct. 19 on OSU’s Corvallis campus, one day before the 50th anniversary of the former track and field athlete’s historic gold medal victory in the high jump at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.

The athletic training degree at Oregon State University is a master’s level degree. From 1974 to 2017 OSU had an accredited undergraduate athletic training program. Starting in the summer of 2016, the first cohort of students started in the new professional master’s program in athletic training.

Oregon State University has a long history of preparing students for a career in athletic training. As an athletic trainer, you will collaborate with physicians to provide preventive services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
