Camping Zion National Park has three campgrounds. South and Watchman Campgrounds are in Zion Canyon. The Lava Point Campground is about a 1-hour drive from Zion Canyon on the Kolob Terrace Road. There are no campgrounds in Kolob Canyons. Camping is permitted in designated campsites, but not in pullouts or parking lots.

Camping Zion Canyon, Springdale and the neighbouring town of Rockville offer visitors to Zion National Park a unique, charming and very personal lodging experience.

Watchman Campground is located ¼ mile from the South Entrance. Tent and electric campsites are available year-round and group campsites are available by reservation from March through October. There are 190 regular sites, 7 wheelchair accessible sites and 6 group sites. CAUTION: Many campsites in both South and Watchman Campgrounds are located near the North Fork of the Virgin River.

South Campground: Reservations only camping. Reservations must be made online up to two weeks in advance at Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. Typical season is from March through October. South Campground closed for the season on October 31, 2020.
